NBA team San Antonio Spurs announced on Thursday that their guard Manu Ginobili is doubtful for Sunday's Western Conference playoff opener against the Memphis Grizzlies due to a right elbow sprain.

The All-Star had an exam on Thursday that confirmed the sprain. Ginobili injured his elbow less than three minutes into the Phoenix Suns' 106-103 victory on Wednesday night.

The 33-year-old Ginobili averaged 17.4 points this season.
