Honduras coach Reinaldo Rueda has resigned his job after the team was knocked out in the group stage of the World Cup.

The Colombian-born Rueda said on Wednesday he "is leaving by the front door, so as not to cause disunity."

"I now have no tie to Honduras, I have no contract with Honduras," he said.
