Gong Li said she is discussing plans for a new film with a Hollywood director, but didn't reveal more details.
After appearing in Hong Kong director Wang Kar-wai's latest film, 2046, the superstar also hopes she can cooperate with the director again.
Gong Li recently won the annual Cannes Special Award at this year's Cannes Film Festival to become China's first actress to win the honor.
