Long, long is my road, and far, far is the journey; high and low, up and down, I'll search with will.

Long, long is my road, and far, far is the journey; high and low, up and down, I'll search with will.

This is a well-known line in Li Sao (The Lament), a poem written by Qu Yuan (c. 340-c. 278 BC) to express his determination to pursue the truth, not yielding to any setbacks, though the way ahead might be very long.

Speaking at the Conference Marking the 95th Anniversary of the Founding of the CPC held in July 2016, Xi Jinping cited this quotation from Qu Yuan and encouraged the whole Party to stay true to their original aspiration and march forward on the journey toward the Two Centenary Goals and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
