Qian was born on February 29, 1964, and now works as a civil servant. She joined the Chongqing Photographers Association in 2004. The following year, her piece "I'm drunken—Nothing matters to me" was exhibited in the Pingyao International Photography Festival. Since 1998, she has produced a series of photos such as "The melody songs linger on in the house," "Sichuan Opera (8 photos)," "Blue melody of the city (6 photos)," "Permeating Things Exquisitely and Silently," and "We'll come again." Many of her works won awards and were shown in municipal photo contests.
